Random Hints and Ideas
- Drink all your water.
- Reduce Salt intake - It encourages you to retain water.
- Reduce Caffeine
- Steam your vegetables
- Add herbs and spices to your food for added flavour.
- My favourites are: 1: Salt & Vinegar for lavash bread chips and on fish, 2: Sour Cream and Chives on grilled chicken, 3: All Purpose Seasoning for mashed potato, 4: Cumin on pork or steak, 5: Garlic (I love garlic) in most meals, 6: Roast Chicken for almost everything. I try and buy a new spice each shopping trip.
- Experiment in the kitchen. Write down all the foods you really like and different meals you love, then work out how to make them low in points/calories/fat. If you would like a hand give me a yell.
- Get a Fit Ball. I cant exercise much but I love my fit ball to sit on. I am never still on it. I have lost weight and centimeters since using it.
- Track EVERYTHING.
- Put a picture of your goal or motivation on your pantry and fridge. I have a picture of my son and step daughters on the fridge.
- Wait at least 20mins before you eat more. Most times if you have a glass of water and get yourself busy for 20 mins you forget about being hungry.
- Keep low point snacks on hand. Cut up some celery, carrot, zucchini, mushrooms in a container in the fridge for when you need something to munch on. Point free soup is great as well.
- Keep track of your sugar points. WW suggest no more then 14 sugar points a week.
